SAT Preparatory course
INTRODUCTION
SAT
stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is administered by the College
Board, and is commonly used as an entry requirement to undergraduate
programs offered by universities in the USA. In Singapore, applicants
are encouraged to submit their SAT scores when applying to the Singapore
Management University (SMU). The National University of Singapore (NUS)
and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) may require SAT scores from
their applicants who are non-Singaporeans and/or international students.
From 2005, the new SAT 1 has three sections - Reading, Writing and
Math. Each section has a maximum score of 800, giving a total score of
2400. The 3.5 hour paper-and-pencil test is made up of multiple-choice
questions, grid-in student response questions and a hand-written essay.
