Dear All
79th ANNIVERSARY TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION
This year Toastmasters International will be celebrating its 79th Anniversary.
While we celebrate this momentous occasion, we also want to continue the legacy of our founder Dr Ralph C Smedley in making effective oral communication a worldwide reality. Toastmasters provide people with the opportunity to master the arts of listening, thinking and speaking – vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding and contribute to the betterment of society. As a non-profit volunteer organization, Toastmasters International relies upon the financial support from its membership and in particularly –YOU.
It is in this spirit, we are organizing a charity drive to raise fund for the Ralph C Smedley Memorial Fund. Besides the fund raising, we will also be hosting a banquet at Raffles Town Country Club on 19th October 2003 for members to gather together and at the same time increase public awareness. The event will culminate with a cheque presentation ceremony and the jointly organised five Divisions in Singapore will also contribute to the event by performing various stage shows.
We seek your support and donation to the Ralph C Smedley Memorial Fund which helps ensure that people continue receiving the invaluable benefits of the Toastmasters program through acquiring and maintaining effective communication skills essential for meeting the demands of our ever changing world.
May we count on YOU to make a difference to the betterment of our society.
Yours sincerely
Julie Ng
