DTM Michael Wee is a name synonymous with Toastmasters in Singapore and the entire District. His contributions to the Toastmasters movement, speak volumes.
I have known Michael since he joined Toastmasters more than 10 years ago. He is undoubtedly the most experienced, dedicated, committed and capable Toastmaster who carries out his appointments with his heart and soul inspiring and encouraging all Toastmasters to become competent speakers and to grow and excel.
I have worked with Michael on several major projects and found him to be extremely dependable, trustworthy and a person who does what he promises. He did an excellent job as Division S Governor and was awarded the District Division Governor of the year award for 1999-2000.
Michael has been actively involved in the Toastmasters Movement sponsoring and mentoring clubs all over Singapore and continues to give his full support to the clubs. He is fondly known as the ‘Father of Gavel Clubs’ for his foresight and initiative in approaching schools, Junior Colleges and Polytechnics to set up clubs so students also have the benefit of the Toastmasters Program. His efforts have seen great results.
Michael is a great leader, someone you want to work with, associate with, because Michael not only motivates you, he is a role model we can all follow and learn from.
DTM Michael Wee is not only very experienced but also very knowledgeable in every aspect of Toastmasters. He is indeed a true blue Toastmaster who will do a great job as LGM and move Toastmasters to greater heights.
I strongly recommend DTM Michael Wee for the appointment of LGM for the Term 2005-2006 and extend my full support to him.

Michael Wee for LGM I would like to endorse Michael for this position. I’ve known Michael since he joined the Toastmasters movement – that must be a long time ago. Michael has displayed strong leadership quality, honesty and integrity. Michael has amassed abundant knowledge of toastmasters and has also imparted this knowledge to others. He believes in sharing and caring, supporting and rendering, and most of all, he walks the talk. He is not the ambitious kind but industrious type of people. I like working with him and I am proud of him running for a higher office. Good luck and work hard. Regards Ernest Chen, DTM

Dear Michael,
Though I have been with Toastmasters only for the last one year, I am glad to have made your acquaintance.
During this period, I have witnessed you in action, both as a participant in judging contests, giving evaluations, making presentations and speeches as well as, playing the different roles of an organiser of special events and workshops under the auspices of Toastmasters International.
As a participant, you were impartial, passionate and sincere. Your guidance and advice have benefited many who have crossed your path. As an organiser, you were effective and efficient. Your leadership and management skills have resulted in meaningful and helpful events being planned and organised for the benefit of fellow toastmasters.
Being one of those who are fortunate enough to have benefited from your work, I want to thank you as well as to urge you to continue in this Toastmasters journey of yours, in order to lead and to serve, so that present and future members will continue to benefit from your guidance and leadership.
Best Regards, Wong Kok Wah

I first met Michael Wee when I joined the movement in 2001. Since then, I have know him to be a good speaker, a humble leader and a meticulous projects organizer. He is a servant leader who is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to get a job done.
From the many appointments that I have requested of Michael, he has been very reliable and has never fail to deliver his promise. He has proved himself to be a very committed TM and I am glad that he is seeking higher office to contribute back to the movement and its mission.

80, Special Project Chair (2004-05) I've been in the toastmasters club for almost 2 years and DTM Michael Wee is one of the toastmasters who command my respect. In every aspect of a toastmaster he has learned the rudiments of the Communication and Leadership skills from the basic manual extremely well. And he displays all his superb skills in his speeches. In short , I always enjoyed listening to his evaluations/speeches. An epitome toastmaster of Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club.
I have always enjoyed working with DTM Micheal Wee. He is a good and patient leader, consistent and impartial in carrying out his duties. And always a gentleman.
DTM Michael Wee shines in whatever he does and will definitely do District 80 proud as the LGM.

Dear Michael,
You truly exhibit the characteristics of a toastmaster and a leader.
I have observed numerous occasions where you have sacrificed every single Saturday for a toastmaster event.
It is about time after nearly a decade and a half that this is an opportune time for Toastmasters to send you to the ranks of the top district leadership eventually being District 80 Governer.
You are always there for everybody. I see you in no other light
I am proud to tell the world this is Michael Wee -"My District Governer,Mentor,Friend,Guide" all in one

Michael Wee, DTM - Candidate for LGM 2005/2006
Being the Division Governor of the Year for 1999/2000, Michael had demonstrated his leadership abilities to bring out the best in the people whom he had worked with and align their strengths for a common good. Being a Past Division Leader, Michael had not stopped contributing to the growth and development of the Toastmasters Program. He is always there to help young leaders and speakers develop their potential. Now you know why he is also known as 'Father of Gavel Clubs'.
Being a down to earth and humble person, Michael has a dream that he constantly articulates to other toastmasters. He shared Abraham Lincoln's ideology in leadership and service to the Toastmasters public, and that's why he is a strong believer that the Toastmasters Leadership should be of the Toastmasters, by the Toastmasters, for the Toastmaster. I have worked with him and observed and realised that Michael is a leader who knows no boundaries. He is a leader who would not hesitate to offer his help no matter where you come from. It is this bounder-less spirit for serving that caught my admiration for him.
In my opinion, Michael Wee, DTM has the essential qualities of a good LGM which comprises:
How do I know Michael has all these as mentioned? Well the reviews about him will speak for himself.
I am very
excited to learn that Michael Wee, DTM had decided to run for
the LGM office in the coming term. Please give him your
greatest support for his dedication, experience and visionary
leadership will go a long way to help District 80 develop and
grow! We need leaders whose blood were filled with passion and
desire to help improve other people's life! That's what
volunteerism is all about!
