Dear Members,
As I pen my last line in my old diary and begin to write in my new one, my thoughts go to what lies ahead for us in 2016.
What do we wish to do for the New Year in our Toastmasters’ Journey? How do we plan to prepare our next steps for the coming 6 months?
Personally, I plan to fill my new diary with more purposeful events, more creative challenges and many more meaningful education goals.
The past 6 months have been wonderful, where 80 clubs achieved 5+ goals. Your well deserved recognitions are with your Division Directors and these will be presented to you at your individual division COT 2. Be present to personally receive what you have worked so hard for: your well deserved achievements.
A new year comes with new challenges. To motivate ourselves to increase our standard of communication, I encourage you to pursue the “Quality Speech” challenge. (I understand that this is not a fool proof method to judge a quality speech, however, it will be a good start.)
This exercise will kick start our “creative challenge” mentioned above and I will be most interested to note how many of you will challenge yourself for it.
Do write and share your progress with me.
Also, do work on the challenge to achieve 3 DCPs for your club. That will help your club elevate itself closer to and eventually into Distinguished club by May 31st.
For your personal development, every education award is a challenge in self –improvement. Therefore, work hard to complete them by May 31st
May the New Year bring you showers of blessing both in your personal and Toastmasters journey.

当我在旧的日记上写下完结篇，在新的日记上起笔时，我的思潮环绕在2016年的期望上。
在新的一年里，我们对讲演旅程有些什么寄望？我们又如何在未来的半年具体地落实拟定的计划呢？
我打算在日记上填满更具目标性的项目、更多的具创意性的挑战，以及达成更多意义深远的教育目标。
过去的六个月是精彩的。我们有80个分会完成了5个以上的目标。分区总监们会在《分会执委培训二》时颁发荣誉奖给劳苦功高的各分会会长。请会长务必亲自出席接受这份得来不易的荣誉。
新的一年，新的挑战！如果您盼望在沟通技巧上有所突破，请积极参与“高素质的演讲系列”。虽然参与该系列未必能大量提升所有参与者的演讲素质，但它肯定是个巩固实力的起点。
在个人的成长方面，每一个教育目标的达成都是自我提升的一项挑战。因此，请您竭尽所能在5月31日前达成目标。
在新的一年里，我祝愿您在个人生活及讲演旅程等方面，都能够硕果累累，幸福美满。
